Ephrata Detailer Prepping Multimillion-Dollar Exotics & Classics at Monterey Car Week

Gordon McCall Motorworks Revival & The Quail, on August Agenda

EPHRATA, WA June 1, 2016 - Ephrata’s Bill “the Buff Man” Quinn has accepted an invitation as a member of the elite Air Force One Detailing Team to be exclusive detailers for the 25th Annual Gordon McCall Motorworks Revival Event; and The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering at the Quail Lodge & Golf Club. Both events are part of 2016 Monterey Car Week August 15-19.

Over 3,500 of the most influential automotive collectors, car enthusiasts, celebrities, and automotive professionals in the world attend the posh event every year.

Senior level members of Doyle’s AFO Team like Quinn, also known as The Detail Mafia, specialize in the restoration, maintenance, and preservation of multi-million-dollar automobiles and aircraft. The Detail Mafia travels the U.S. restoring and preserving classic and exotic private collections, museum paragons, and community projects nationwide.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, August 16-17, the Buff Man and the team will begin by prepping an entire fleet of rare and exotic automobiles. Those vehicles and the team’s talents will be showcased at McCall’s Official Kickoff Gala, Wednesday evening from 5:00 until 10:00 p.m. The elegant party marks the start of 2016 Monterey Car Week.

The Buff Man is no stranger to multi-million dollar airplanes and vehicles, but those vehicles he and the team will prep and maintain in Monterey consist of unprecedented collections often valued at $15 to $20 million. Only Master-level and mentored members of Doyle’s Detail Mafia have been selected for the events, and the products provided by P&S Sales include Doyle’s own new line known as Double Black.

On Thursday, August 18, the Detail Mafia move out to the Monterey Peninsula where they will prep another fleet of vintage sports cars and crème de la crème luxury cars for Friday’s The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering at the Quail Lodge & Golf Club. The event’s global reputation made it a finalist in the Motoring Event of the Year category for the 2014 International Historic Motoring Awards. Again, the team’s unique paint correction and detailing talents will be as much on display as the cars themselves.

“I wasn’t sure you could top detailing the first Air Force One presidential jet and Boeing’s fleet at Seattle’s Museum of Flight in terms of celebrated projects,” says Quinn. “But when you consider the exclusivity, the elegance, and the special emphasis on luxury, custom, exotic, and vintage automobiles and motorcycles at these two events, I am honored to be trusted to work on vehicles most owners wouldn’t let touch much less polish!”

Some of the vehicles Quinn and the team will detail pre-date WWII. Others once belonged to Hollywood stars like Frank Sinatra and sports legend Reggie Jackson. Gordon McCall’s own vehicles, as well as motorcycles belonging to actor Keanu Reeves who co-founded Arch Motorcycle, and Velocity TV host Bryan Fuller are among the fleet of Masaratis, Porsches, and Ferraris the team is likely to detail in August.
