Air Force One Detailing Team Big Hit at Worldwide Las Vegas Auto Show

EPHRATA, WA November 17, 2014 — Bill the “Buff Man” Quinn of Ephrata’s Bill the Buff Man Auto Detailing and nine elite members of the Air Force One Detailing Team just returned from appearing as Celebrity Guest Detailers at SEMA last week. SEMA is the largest automotive specialty and aftermarket tradeshow in the world and welcomed over 125,000 attendees in Las Vegas, November 4-7. Quinn and a handful of team members led by master detailing guru, Renny Doyle of Attention to Details and the Detailing Success Network, were invited by SONAX Car Care and Flex North America, a maker of high-end automotive polishers and buffers, to hold demonstrations in their exhibits for a couple of hours every day.

The Buff Man’s daughter, Shae Morrissey, who is a talented detailer in her own right, and manager for her Dad’s detailing business, attended the show as well. The flash of cameras delighted both she and the Buff Man as the news media covered the event and automotive lovers from around the world had their pictures taken with the now famous Buff Man and the rest of the AFO team! Quinn will also be featured on the cover of Detailers Digest in November/December.

“The attention for what we do is surreal,” says Quinn, who has been chosen for the AFO team two years in a row. “SEMA is a huge show and we had large crowds mingling around our exhibits watching us work. I think one of the things that made our presentations different was how we let the audience participate. At most tradeshows, they have a detailer behind a Plexiglas window doing the demo. We showed people how to use the products and equipment, did a little talk about technique, and then let members of the audience take the buffer in their own hands and experience the process. That was very exciting for them and people stood in line to try it for themselves. We also sold a lot of Flex buffers and SONAX products!”

Bill the Buff Man has three mobile units and two fixed locations fulltime in Ephrata and by appointment only at Moses Lake. He is more than just a detailer. He is also a paint correction specialist experienced at restoring the paint on classics, exotics, car collections, luxury sedans, and every day drives.
