Bill the Buff Invited to Prestigious McCall's Motorsports Revival to Kick Off Monterey Car Week!

Just a couple of weeks after the annual Air Force One project, a smaller and more senior-level team of 15 AFO Detailing Team members, including the Buff Man, go to Monterey Car Week where they prep and maintain unprecedented car collections often valued at $15 to $20 million.

Kicking off Monterey Car Week every year is the Gordon McCall Motorworks Revival. Over 3,500 of the most influential automotive collectors, car enthusiasts, celebrities, and automotive professionals in the world attend the posh event every year. Tuesday and Wednesday the team preps an entire fleet of rare and exotic automobiles. Those vehicles and the team’s talents are showcased at McCall’s Official Kickoff Gala on Wednesday evening. The elegant party marks the start of Monterey Car Week.

On Thursday, Bill and the rest of the team move out to the Monterey Peninsula where they prep another fleet of vintage sports cars and crème de la crème luxury cars for Friday’s The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering at the Quail Lodge & Golf Club.

“I wasn’t sure you could top detailing the first Air Force One presidential jet and Boeing’s fleet at Seattle’s Museum of Flight in terms of celebrated projects,” says Quinn. “But when you consider the exclusivity, the elegance, and the special emphasis on luxury, custom, exotic, and vintage automobiles and motorcycles at these two events, I am honored to be trusted to work on vehicles most owners wouldn’t let touch much less polish!”

Some of the vehicles Quinn and the team detailed belong to Hollywood stars like Frank Sinatra and sports legend Reggie Jackson. Gordon McCall’s own vehicles, as well as motorcycles belonging to actor Keanu Reeves who co-founded Arch Motorcycle; and Velocity TV host Bryan Fuller are among the fleet of Masaratis, Porsches, and Ferraris the team sees every year.
